Venus Jewels adds new clarity grading

diamond world news service

Venus Jewels has extended the deliverables of its Venus Grading System (VGS), as it recently introduced a new clarity grade -'VS2'. The new grade applies to the clarity grades VS2 and SI1+ and identifies the diamond to have a clarity ‘slightly lower than the standard VS2 clarity grade’.

The grade is an effort to further strengthen the transparency between diamond grading and their pricing. This especially refers to the price difference between VS2 and SI1+ clarity diamonds, which almost amounts to 8 percent to 15 percent, which may deter a customer from purchases. The new grading will allow a better explanation and clarity to the price difference and win consumer confidence.

The VGS system now offers 32 clarity grades. It price book recognizes all 16 grading parameters of the VGS in pricing their diamonds. Venus Jewels is a Diamond Trading Sightholder.
