The election to choose a new council at the London Diamond Bourse took place on May 12 at the bourse’s first in-person annual general meeting (AGM) since 2019. The Hatton Garden-based organization also elected its council of management, with four new members obtaining places, namely Tom Durrant, James Heath, Lewis Malka and Rosalyn Mulrooney. It is reassuring to see several younger members of the association take an interest and be elected to positions on the committee, commented Stacey Aylott, chief operating officer of the LDB. “The council is more diverse than ever before, and I look forward to seeing where this new council will lead the bourse.” David Troostwyk is the new elected VP in a shake-up of it elected team. Troostwyk, director of polished-diamond company Salotro, is already a member of the UK exchange’s board and works closely with the Young Diamantaires group. The new council of management has Alan Cohen as president, David Troostwyk as vice president, David Joffe as treasurer, Trevor Sigsworth as executive officer, Kathy Chappell, Paul Koppelman, Jacqui Larsson, Howard Levine, Charles Silverton, Tom Durrant, James Heath, Lewis Malka and Rosalyn Mulrooney.
